At Subaru, we believe what we leave behind is a reflection of who we are. That's why Subaru and our retailers partner with the Arbor Day Foundation (TM) to provide and distribute 100,000 regionally appropriate trees across the country. We're proud to establish the largest corporate tree distribution ever. Through this and other Subaru Loves the Earth initiatives, Subaru and our retailers have helped distribute and plant over 1.1 million trees.

Health
Subaru believes we should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. That's why for the past 10 years, Subaru and its retailers like us have partnered with Blood Cancer United® and our local hospital or cancer treatment center to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by our staff and customers to support patients facing cancer. Through our efforts during this decade-long partnership, we've supported nearly 500,000 cancer patients nationwide. Together, we are proud to be Blood Cancer United's largest automotive donor.
Subaru and its retailers, like us, are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning(R) by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are needed to help students thrive in the classroom.

Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home. That's why retailers like us partner with our local animal welfare organization every October to provide direct financial assistance through a grant distributed by the ASPCA® and host pet events to help animals find loving homes. Through our partnership with local and national organizations, Subaru has donated over $70 million, supporting the rescue, adoption, and health of over 700,000 animals. We're proud to be the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA.

Subaru and its retailers believe in giving back to our communities. That's why for every new vehicle sold or leased during the Subaru Share the Love event, Subaru and its retailers, like us, makes a donation to national charities that our owners care about and to over 2,700 local charities where Subaru owners live and work.
Now, after 17 years, Subaru and our retailers have donated nearly $320 million to charity all to give back and to make the world a better place.

At Salina Subaru we love giving back to our community. And this October we gave away four tickets to the Sunflower Showdown- the iconic KU vs. K-State rivalry game. Our winner and her family hit the road in a brand new Subaru Outback from the dealership, enjoying all the comfort and capability it's known for. From the drive to the stadium to the final whistle, their game day experience was a one to remember!
A great story of one of the dogs we adopted during October Subaru Loves Pets Event (Kona the Husky) - Bridget P.
Late on a September night came the call every Animal Control Officer dreads — a dog hit by a car at 11 p.m. To make matters worse, the dog was trapped beneath the vehicle. Countless scenarios rush through your mind when responding to such a call. As I approached the scene, I was rerouted to the shelter — witnesses at the accident had managed to pull the dog out and transport her directly to safety. One of those rescuers, Jude Golden of Salina, felt an instant connection with the injured dog. He called and later came by the shelter to check on her wellbeing, unable to stop thinking about her since that night. The husky mix, now affectionately known as “Lumpy Space Princess,” had miraculously escaped serious injury. She suffered a small internal bleed that resolved on its own and a few scrapes and bruises — but overall, she was one very lucky girl. Jude recalled climbing under the front end of the vehicle to help pull her free. In that moment, he decided that if no one came forward to claim her, he would bring her home. Jude had been looking for an emotional support animal, and “Lumpy” seemed like the perfect match. Over the next few weeks as she recovered at the shelter, Jude visited regularly — their bond growing stronger with each meeting. Finally, in October, the big day came: she was ready to go home. “Lumpy” became Kona, Jude’s beloved ESA. As Jude and his fiancée both work in high-stress fields, Kona will surely bring peace, joy, and balance to their lives.
